CD201 Part 1 Direct Current:
Lesson 1: Getting Started Lesson 1 begins with the study of basic electrical theories and principles. You will learn about voltage, current and resistance. You will also learn how simple electrical circuits actually work. In lesson 1 you will begin to experience how easy it is to learn electronics. 
Lesson 2:
Series Circuits Lesson 2 examines the basic components used in every circuit. You will learn about sources of energy, different kinds of control devices, various kinds of loads, and and how these devices are connected together to make a working circuit. You will also learn how to calculate current flows, voltage drops, and resistances Lesson 3: Parallel Circuits Lesson 3 examines the differences between the series circuit and the parallel circuit. You will learn how to determine current flows through parallel branches, total current draw through the circuit, how to determine parallel resistance values and much more. Lesson 4: Combination Circuits Lesson 4 combines the two circuits you examined in lessons 2 and 3. You will see how most circuits are actually a combination of both series and parallel circuits. You will learn how to determine voltage drops, current flows through various branches of a complex circuit and how to calculate equivalent circuits. You will also learn Kirchoff's current law and much more. Lesson 5: Conclusion Lesson 5 concludes by examining potentiometers, rheostats, symbols for variable resistors, how to calculate opposing voltages, circuit tracing, scientific notation, common prefixes and much more. By the time you have finished the five lessons contained on this disc, you will be well on your way to an exciting career in the field of electrical or electronic repair.
